Export your data
You can export your MailOver data from Settings in one click. It comes back as a single machine-readable JSON file with your profile, conversations, emails, Action Items, reminders, FYIs, briefings, agent memories, and metadata. Keep it for your records or use it for a GDPR request, and remember your original email always stays in your own provider too.
What the export contains
The export is one JSON file with everything MailOver holds about you in a structured, machine-readable form. It is designed to satisfy your right to data portability under GDPR Article 20, so you can move it elsewhere or simply keep your own copy. Here is what is inside:
Your raw email lives in Gmail, Outlook, or your IMAP provider, and the export is your copy of what MailOver stored and built from it. Nothing about exporting touches the mail in your provider.
Export your data, step by step
Open Settings and find your data controls. Go to Settings and look for the privacy and data section, where your export and deletion controls live.
Choose Export my data. One click gathers everything listed above into a single JSON file.
Save the JSON file. The file downloads to your device. Open it in any text editor or feed it to another tool. It is plain JSON, so it is easy to read and easy to work with.
When you might want it
Export anytime you want a personal backup, before you delete your account so you keep a record, or when you are exercising a data access or portability request. There is no charge and no waiting list. Every account can export, on any plan.
Export before you delete
Deleting your MailOver account is permanent and clears everything. If you think you might want any of this later, run an export first and save the file somewhere safe. See Delete your account and data for how deletion works.
