Upgrade or downgrade your plan
Change plans anytime from Settings. Upgrades apply immediately with the new inbox and credit limits, and Stripe prorates the difference. Downgrades take effect at your next billing date, so you keep what you paid for. On the web, paying subscribers manage changes through the Stripe billing portal; free users see an Upgrade Plan button.
How upgrades and downgrades work
When you upgrade, the change takes effect right away. Stripe prorates the difference for the rest of your current cycle, so you only pay for the part of the cycle you are upgrading into. Your new inbox limit and your new monthly credits are available immediately.
When you downgrade, the change waits until your next billing date. You keep the plan you already paid for until then, and the lower plan starts at the next renewal. You can also switch between monthly and yearly billing the same way.
Change your plan on the web
If you are already on a paid plan and pay through Stripe, you change plans in the Stripe billing portal.
Open Settings and go to Subscription. In the MailOver web app, open Settings, then the Subscription section, where your current plan is shown.
Select Manage Billing. This opens your Stripe billing portal in a new tab, where you can switch plans or change between monthly and yearly billing.
Pick the plan you want and confirm. An upgrade is prorated and applies straight away, a downgrade is scheduled for your next billing date, then close the tab to return to your account.
If you are on the free plan
Free users do not have a Stripe portal yet, so the Subscription section shows an Upgrade Plan button instead of Manage Billing. Select it, pick a plan, and check out through Stripe. Your new limits are live as soon as the payment goes through. For a tour of the plans, see Plans and what's included.
If you subscribed on iPhone or Android
When you subscribe inside the iOS or Android app, the store handles billing, so you change plans through an in-app purchase rather than through Stripe. To check where your subscription lives, open Settings, go to Subscription, and look at the Payment line. See Where you're billed for more.
Cancelling instead
If you would rather stop your subscription than switch plans, see Cancel or change your subscription.
