Help/Billing & subscriptions/Cancel or change your subscription

Cancel or change your subscription

Short answer

You can cancel anytime, and you keep paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Where you cancel depends on where you subscribed: on the web through Stripe in Settings, or through the App Store for Apple and Google Play for Android. Your data stays available on the free tier after cancelling.

Before you cancel

You cancel in the same place you subscribed. Check where that was first: on the web through Stripe, on iPhone through the App Store, or on Android through Google Play. Whichever you choose, cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you are not sure which provider you are on, open Settings, go to Subscription, and look at the Payment line. See Where you're billed for more.

Cancel on the web (Stripe)

1

Open Settings and go to Subscription. In the MailOver web app, open Settings, then the Subscription section, where your current plan is shown.

Manage Billing
2

Select Manage Billing. This opens your Stripe billing portal in a new tab, where Stripe handles the change securely.

3

In the Stripe portal, choose Cancel plan and confirm. When you are done, close the tab to return to your account.

Cancel on iPhone (Apple)

If you subscribed inside the iOS app, Apple controls the subscription, so you cancel it in the App Store rather than inside MailOver.

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions, then MailOver.
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

You can also manage it at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Cancel on Android (Google Play)

If you subscribed through Google Play, Google manages the subscription, so you cancel it in the Play Store.

  1. Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile icon.
  2. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select MailOver and tap Cancel subscription.

You can also manage it at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

After you cancel

Your paid features stay active until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. Your data stays available, and you can resubscribe any time. Want a copy of everything first? See Export your data. To switch plans instead of cancelling, use Upgrade or downgrade your plan.

On yearly plans we offer a 14-day refund. That one is handled by a person, so email [email protected] and we will sort it out.
