Action Items look wrong or missing

Short answer

If an Action Item lands in the wrong place or goes missing, you can fix it directly. Edit the due date, category, or type, mark it complete, or ask your AI secretary in chat to recategorize it. The secretary learns from your corrections, and you can undo its recent actions. Emails caught by your private filters never produce items.

Fix an item directly

Your secretary reads each email and decides what it is and where it goes, and now and then it gets one wrong. When that happens, the fastest fix is to edit the item yourself. Open it and change whatever is off: set or move the due date, change the category or type, or mark it complete or cancelled. The same goes for the built-in FYI and Highlight categories, where you can move an item into the spot that fits.

If something needed an Action Item and one was not created, you can add your own by hand. Nothing is ever lost in the meantime, since the original email stays searchable, so a missing Action Item does not mean a missing email.

Or ask the secretary to fix it

You can also just tell your secretary in chat what to change. Ask it to recategorize an item, move it, set a reminder, or mark it done, and it will. The secretary learns from these corrections over time, so the more you steer it, the better it gets at sorting your mail the way you want. There is no one-click button to reprocess an email from scratch. You correct the items it produced, either by editing them or through chat.

Changed your mind, or the secretary did something you did not want? You can undo its recent actions, so a wrong move is easy to walk back.

When an item was never going to appear

If an email matches one of your private email addresses or private keywords, it is skipped before the AI ever reads it. No item is created from it, by design, and it stays out of your Action Items, Highlights, and FYIs. So if something is missing and it matches a private filter, that is the reason rather than a mistake. Still seeing items that look off after correcting them?
