Gmail connection failed or expired
When Google asks you to sign in again, your connection has expired and just needs re-approving. Open Settings, go to Account, tap the Gmail account, and choose Reconnect, then approve access when Google prompts you. If it keeps failing, delete the account and add it again. You will not lose your synced data.
Why this happens
Connections to Google do not last forever. They can expire, and Google can ask you to sign in again, especially if you changed your Google password, turned on new security settings, or have not used the account in a while. When that happens, MailOver flags the account as needing attention and pauses syncing for it until you re-approve. Your already synced mail and everything the secretary pulled out of it stay exactly where they are.
Reconnect the account
Open Settings and go to Account. In MailOver, open Settings, then the Account tab, and find the account under Connected accounts.
Tap the account and choose Reconnect. Open the account to its Manage account page, find the Connection section, and select Reconnect.
Sign in with Google and approve access. Google opens its secure sign-in. Sign in and approve the access MailOver requests so it can read and sort your mail and reply on your behalf when you ask. Google handles the sign-in, so MailOver never sees your password. Once you approve, syncing resumes on its own.
If it keeps failing
If reconnecting does not stick, delete the email account from MailOver and add it again from scratch. On the Manage account page, choose Delete account to remove that inbox, then go back to Settings, choose Add email account, and connect the Gmail account fresh. This clears out the stale connection and sets up a new one. Removing the account here removes that one inbox, not your whole MailOver account.
One thing to watch for during the Google step: approve the full access MailOver asks for. If you skip part of it, the connection can fail again. The access lets MailOver read and sort your mail, mark messages as read once they are processed, and send a reply only when you ask. It does not delete or reorganize your inbox on its own.
